 | Mount Beyond
Stopping just short of the clouds is the peak of beautiful Mount Beyond, and around it the land varies in appearance from gentle to imperial. Like the rest of Touchfire Mount Beyond is not particularly cold, but it is the first place to get snow in Winter. The woodlands are evergreen, and wildflowers flourish brilliantly round every corner. Brooks and waterfalls spin blue among the green, and some of the caves are big enough to echo.

 | Late Rose Forest
Rolling over the rich terrain is a mixed forest whose abundant plantlife is so enthusiastic that it kisses the shores, leaving no room for sandy beaches. Where the land reaches the ocean, it is grass and moss that slides into the water, making for a very picturesque display of colour. The center of the territory is prone to sunny clearings and small rocky ascents, but most of the forest is calm, shaded, flat, and prone to the late bloom of wild roses.

 | Olympus Valley
A very low valley on a peninsula of the archipelago. Regal, crisp, and luscious. On the east side is deciduous forest, and on the west is uneven terrain that climbs to a small apex. Down the middle of the valley runs a wide river with a safe floodplain, surrounded by long soft grass, and there is a grove of cypress trees frequented by abundant woodland prey. Most of the shores here are rocky, but there is one glorious stretch of gold to the southwest.

 | Gold Stag Meadow
A huge rich meadow surrounded by vibrant scrub and a crescent of serene forest. Running through the centre of the meadow is a narrow spine of rocky moore in whose edges large dens can be built. The grass of Gold Stag Meadow catches the light and shines with heart-stropping vibrancy whatever the season, and in Winter is an untouched wonderland, the snow seeming more silver than white, icicles hanging from trees like ethereal stalactites.

| Unclaimed Lands |
 | Shadow Abyss
The most unnerving land in Touchfire. Possibly one of the most unnerving ever. A 40-mile river, but the water doesn't flow: it collapses, in a narrow waterfall from the ocean that drops as if to nowhere. For Shadow Abyss is so deep that you can't see the water, and the only way to find out what's down there (if anything) is to fall; but if there is an end, it'll kill you, and if it doesn't kill you, there's no way out. Shadow Abyss feels like a rip in Elementum.

 | True Wild
Vast deciduous forest merging into a deer-strewn prairies that dries up the further northeast you go, eventually extending beyond the country of Touchfire altogether. The prairies are exhausting and the forest is labyrinthine – and both are truly wild. The fauna, including grizzly bears, have a dog-eat-dog approach to life, and although the temperature is nowhere near as high as the islands, True Wild is deathtrap for anyone without a sense of direction.

 | Fragosus Falls
Fragosus Falls is the point at which the far-travelling Fragosus River finally reaches the sea, so named because the land declines, frequently resulting in rapids. But there are stretches of stillness and heart-aching serenity, and it is at these points that the river reaches an amazing 10 miles in breadth. Being the largest fresh water source in Touchfire, Fragosus Falls attracts all manner of life, the biggest of which is the Diggopotamus...

 | Crash Mountain
The more ferocious edge of Fragosus Falls has eroded the handsome Crash Mountain over millennia, to the point at which it now stands narrow and unsteady. The south side may be covered in a romantic flowery pine woodland, but the west side of Crash Mountain is extremely dangerous, its highest drop plunging directly into the water far, far below. If you can reach the peak, what awaits is the most beautiful ocean view in Touchfire.

 | Champion Island
There is an unyielding magnificence about this triangular land, one of the only islands on the archipelago accessible without swimming or flying. Only a thick river separates it from the mainland, and there are stepping stones aplenty. Champion Island is entirely made of daunting black rocks and beautiful silken sand. There are unexpected drops and sinking sands round every corner, and those who can survive the island deserve a fierce sense of triumph.

 | Dot Magic
Smallest island in Touchfire, dominated by an enormous green banyan tree. Its roots stretch right over the sides of the island and into the ocean, as if clutching it. The tree is full of zingy, twittering life, and it looks beautiful. Dot Magic is quite a swim away, but if a Terrakin can make it then they're rewarded with the banyan tree: it's not only a Terrakin's dream climbing frame, but a source of scarcely imaginable wonders...

|
 | Temple Island
Biggest island in Touchfire, wild and loud with jungle life. Sometimes hot Spring storms flood the golden beaches, but the center of the island is higher, and home to something spectacular. The ancient ruins of a 50-foot-tall stone temple. Half-buried stone is scattered throughout Temple Island, but the main structure is flanked by two arches, its interior is hollow and full of wild foliage, and it is topped by a weathered statue of a majestic Aerkin.
